A local pub was experiencing issues with poor WiFi coverage across the establishment, so we installed a more robust WiFi solution.
Two Netserve technicians attended a local pub we provide IT support for including looking after the Public WiFi and PCI-DSS requirements of the card machines. Our client had an issue with poor network coverage as the old Cisco access points installed throughout had been discontinued by the old provider, so as a cost-effective exercise we attended the site and tested all cable runs with our Cat5/6 cable testing equipment.
Once all cables confirmed they were of sound performance we installed a new Ubiquiti WiFi system throughout. The access points are cloud-managed so we can also provide our WiFi care package which includes a monthly check to ensure the firmware is kept up-to-date and also all access points are live and online at all times.
Whilst onsite we also reconnected the Worldpay chip and pin machines to the correct WiFi network and tested signal strength, as we look after the security and PCI-DSS requirements for these terminals too.
