Every member of our team sits down with their line manager every month for a dedicated one to one. Not a quick catch up squeezed between meetings. A prepared, meaningful conversation about how things are going.

At Netserve, supervisions are taken seriously by everyone involved, managers and team members alike. They’re structured, they’re prepared, and they result in actions.

“We ask every team member to come prepared. It shows that we value what they have to say and we want the time to count.”

Before each supervision, team members are expected to reflect on the month and come ready to discuss their own achievements, any challenges they’ve faced, and what their goals look like going forward. That preparation matters. It shifts the dynamic from a manager delivering a verdict to a genuine two way conversation .

What every supervision covers:

Achievements Team members share what they’re proud of from the past month, moments where they felt they delivered well or stretched themselves.

Challenges A talk about what’s been difficult, what felt frustrating, or where support might help.

Goal setting Manager and team member set and review goals together

Progress feedback Managers share their perspective on how things are going

Motivation & wellbeing A dedicated moment to check in on how someone is actually feeling about their work and their motivation levels.

The motivation section deserves a mention of its own. It’s easy for a company to say it cares about how its people feel. It’s harder to build a regular, structured moment where that question gets asked sincerely and their answer shapes what happens next.

If someone is energised and wants more challenge, we look for ways to give it to them. If someone is struggling or feeling flat, we want to understand why and do something about it.

What happens after the supervision is just as important as the meeting itself. Managers leave with a clear picture of what each team member need and managers are expected to act on it. For example, if someone has expressed a desire to develop a particular skill and it aligns with the business’ goals, the manager is looking for ways to make that happen.

Ultimately, our monthly supervisions are about making sure no one feels like they’re working alone. If you join Netserve, you’ll be part of a team where your development, wellbeing, and goals are genuinely supported, where your voice is heard, and where managers take an active role in helping you succeed and grow.
